Dr. Jose Miravet Valenciano, MSc

Jose Miravet-Valenciano is a versatile biologist whose professional career during the last years is focused on reproductive genetics. This interest in genetics started during the time he was the head of operations of the Unit of Environmental Health at the Public Health Centre of Denia (Alicante, Spain) and had to face a terrific outbreak of legionnaire’s disease. Once landed in the field of reproductive medicine, he has published several papers in prestigious medical journals and chapters in specialized books such as Fertility and Sterility, Cold Spring Harbor perspectives in medicine and The Endometrial Factor, A Reproductive Precision Medicine Approach.

He has also been a Marie Curie Fellow at Karolinska Institutet (senior researcher) where he carried out an outstanding research about biomarkers related to endometrial receptivity. During this time, 2015-2016, he was part of the team of Kristina Gemzell, from the Department of Women's and Children's Health (KBH).

Back to Igenomix, he oversaw the ERA Laboratory commanding a team of 7 people until April 2017. He is nowadays in charge of the Igenomix Lab in Kuwait and heading several research projects related to endometrial receptivity under the supervision of Dr. Carlos Simón.
